Xp Repair Install Hangs At 39 Minutes

Jul 1, 2007 #16 MorpheusX TS Rookie Can't belive the solution was so simple I was so frustrated with it hanging at 34 minutes no matter what I did that I Now the problem is that Windows Repair Setup isn't making any progress and I need a way to bypass it, or stop the computer from starting setup every time I reboot. Any help would be much appreciated! I checked the disk after I reformated, and it was OK, but as soon as I installed WinXP and a couple of programs, Ontrack started giving the failed partition error again. I believe the newer systems (pc and laptops) require a newer version of XP for a clean install.   • I have tried upgrading the BIOS, putting in an AGP video card instead of using the onboard one, removed all PCI cards, extra CDROM, zip drive, etc.

STill not able to finish the repair installation. Change OS Version to Windows XP. All CDs were not upgrades, all were fresh install attempts. I have tried using bootcamp instead but had another issue with that 'no bootable disk"....we won't even go there! Please help !!! And most of the services in windows would not work.
