When it freezes, take note of what driver is trying to be loaded, then use google to look it up. how??? If this does not solve the problem, check out the next step. Newer drives use SATA cables and older drives use PATA cables.Note: A loose hard drive data cable can cause the same issues that a damaged one can but hopefully you checked
