I am trying to deploy my test app toappengineand it seems that it has problem with the jsp file. It should be javaw not java –Ankur Jain Mar 19 '13 at 8:55 i don't see javaw file in linux. Restart Eclipse then try to deploy your code to Google. I had changed the method signature of a method that was called by a JSP I didn't normally go to.

I did rename the extensions of the files in question at one point, made an internal change to one of the files and now get the error. This seems to suggest that the problem is not in my code, or that at least something changed in the GAE SDK, or in the GAE itself.
