If you are at an office or shared network, you can ask the network administrator to run a scan across the network looking for misconfigured or infected devices. E.g. When you start a command shell to run Nmap, right-click on the icon and select "Run as administrator". A question related to that can be found here. Now, I get this error when attempting a scan: Starting Nmap 4.60 dnet: Failed to open device eth4 QUITTING! If you have both installed, it gives you this error.
Resorting to connect() mode -- Nmap may not function completely But finished successfully. I think you right-click on the icon and select "Run as administrator" or something like that.
