  5. ASPNET_REGIIS can usually fix the problem without need for restart.

Follow with "aspnet_regiis.exe -i" to install ASP.NET into IIS. I've run into this a couple of times and that generally seems to work at least in my development environment. I have ran into a similar issues after I install .Net 3.5 SP1. This is probably due to the fact that instead of an XML based report page it gets an ASP.NETerror page.

I also did an IIS reset. Error: 0x80070005 Access is denied.  or YOu have noticed that the ASP.NET account isn't there within the folder permissions?   SOLUTION: Just add the Network Service account with the necessary permissions This seems to have fixed me up as well.
