This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. This happened to me and I've encountered stuff like these, such a waste of time to troubleshoot to figure out what went wrong. The event repository was initially provided as a tool for parser creation but has since evolved. If it does help, you can use a copy ofmsconfig from an XP box or download from the internet to selectively disableapplications and services to pinpoint the problem application.

I know there is a automatic Gpo refresh for every 90 minutes for member servers, If it is the case then for every 90 minutes there should be an event 1704 I have tried sharing folders that weren't, taking away some security from the shares and anything else I was able to find online.
