Xbmc 100 Cpu Usage Ubuntu
Only a moron would install Unity on an embedded system. This means XBMC is written with "game loop" logic in mind, so they had to add some options in order to optimise the redrawing process. I just tried your suggestion and I can confirm that it works . I already said its CPU bound, not memory, with CPU at 100%. for minimum xbmc requirements, and I'd want more. For some reason, XBMC just uses up 100% of one CPU core all the time except during playback. https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2292462
Kodi High Cpu Usage Idle
I tried 1 last night on my 2006 MacBook, and the interface seems slightly zippier (may be placebo)--the RSS feed at the bottom seems smoother, for sure. permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold[–]splice42[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago(0 children)All right, I'll give it a look see. UPNP already disabled as well as most services, web enabled but I toggled it a few times to see, no improvement. Could it be a skin or plugin?
I've been having an issue with the betas and it still exists in the final. I can see: $ ls -l /proc/$(pidof xbmc.bin)/fd | grep 20 ... There is no need for any sort of desktop. EDIT: tried with advancedsettings.xml as in your post, xbmc segfaults.

- During normal playback, it'll go down to 30-40% CPU one one core (and switches the core around, sometimes one, sometimes the other).
- Log says SDL library is the culprit.

- As I have mentioned in my post, it is not memory bound, but CPU.
- I'm not sure if the issue is related or not though.
- At least 12.3 works well with subs.

Might be due to the fact, that they are all setup the same way, basically a standard installation of Ubuntu 11.10 (64bit) with these characteristics: completely removed pulseaudio, I run XMBC Can time travel make us rich through trading, and is this a problem? I read about a common issue that affected people and was fixed by editing advancedsettings.xml to enable dirty regions, but this fix is apparently enabled by default in Frodo.
